Dear Parent or Guardian:

ACCESS testing for English Learner students will begin February 24, 2021.  All students currently identified as EL students are required to participate in the ACCESS testing.  The results from the ACCESS testing allows the school to better meet the needs of each EL student.  For those students who score a 4.8 or higher for the entire test, they will be able to exit from the EL status.

The ACCESS test measures each EL student’s abilities in four language domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  Each test can take about 1 hour for a student to complete.

Please review the following details about the Sampson Middle testing plan for this year’s administration.
